Summer 2025 officially consecrates Puglia as Italy’s most popular destination. With 15.8 percent of preferences collected according to the report published by the Conflavoro Study Center, the region ranks first among the most chosen tourist destinations, surpassing historical competitors such as Sicily (14.7 percent), Tuscany (13.2 percent), Sardinia (11.8 percent) and Campania (9.3 percent). This is a significant achievement, confirming a growing trend in recent years and marking the success of a tourism model increasingly oriented toward authenticity and sustainability.
Puglia captivates travelers thanks to the variety of its landscape: from the golden beaches of Salento to the cliffs of the Gargano, from the verdant hills of the Itria Valley to the characteristic trulli of Alberobello. Every corner of the region offers unique experiences, capable of satisfying different needs: from families seeking relaxation to young people attracted by music events and movida, passing through lovers of food and wine and slow tourism.
But what really makes the difference is the new approach to tourism adopted by the area: an experiential and inclusive model that enhances local traditions, cultural heritage and typical productions. Restored masserias, eco-friendly agritourisms, food and wine itineraries and routes among the most beautiful villages in Italy make Puglia a destination capable of combining comfort and authenticity. Not just a vacation then, but an immersive and sustainable experience.
The boom recorded in 2025 is also the result of targeted promotion, improved infrastructure and greater attention to the quality of hospitality. Apulia today represents the symbol of an Italy that knows how to reinvent itself, enhancing its roots without sacrificing innovation.
